Well, looking at the inside cords of a new case, everything made sense, except one thing...the wires (have a particular name?) coming from the LEDs on the front of the case all looked normal but one has the words speaker on it.
I was wondering, what this wire is and what's it used for?

It appears to be a speaker wire used for hooking up your pc speaker. Does the other end of that wire hook up to a speaker?

no it doesn't...it looks like a regular wire that you would find inside of a computer.

Very thin, with 4 tiny ports.

Btw, is there a standard name for these types of wires?

that wire is hooked to the motherboard and connects to a small speaker glued or hooked to the inside of the case so when there are errors in lets say boot up or in dos or maybe in window the system will beep to let u know something is wrong....

I'm still gonna guess that it hooks up to a regular speaker that you would find inside of a computer. Should have a 4pin header and only two leads (wires) coming out of it.

Most people would call it the internal speaker wire, or the speaker wire.
