Having some trouble with my dad's computer He had an X-FI (audio version). He has been playing call of juarez and recently told me that the audio got all effed up. I went to listen to it and in the game and any other audio, it crackles and skips. I saw people had some similar problems with the X-fi, so un-installed it and tried to run just the ac 97 onboard. Same problem but now it seems more apparent when system resources are being used (opening IE or quicken).
System specs are: amd 64 3000+, 1.5gb DDR, Nvidia 6600GT.
Anyone have any ideas?
