I gots a really bad problem with my pc sounding like a DustBuster.... What can I do to make it quieter? Do those fan dampening little rings actauly work? http://xoxide.com/vibdampener.html Its so bad i can hear my pc from downstairs in the Family Room when my pc is up in my room on the second floor. Im also in the market for a new case, http://xoxide.com/chenming301bk.html what ya think of that 1? I know its partialy Pre-Modded, but the last window i cut was nasty and all mis-shapen.

we need more info---what fans do you have, and what case do you have. I just replaced my noisey comp with a super quiet one. I love it--so much better. I wish you luck.

PS--I used pax mate sound absorbtion with and antec 3700bqe with two stealth 120mm fans--GET A CASE WITH 120mm fans!! They move more air, AND are quieter

i got 6 80mm fans in my case including processor, its a ubar old standard ATX case not sure of the make, but yah its my beige dustbuster :) if i go with 120's what kinda hole saw should i use to cut the fan holes?

with the case that I have (antec 3700bqe) the fan holes (two 120mm) are already there(along with a silent 350psu) They are hexagonal, so they dont block much, but I cut mine out anyways with a dremel. Dont notice any difference, but im glad i did it. I can post pics if you want, but I dont have my digicam with me, you'll have to wait until mon.

also, go with the arctic cooling heatsinks--Mine is SILENT. Cant hear it from 6 inches away. Plus, it only costs 9.50, and is great if you are not overclocking (overclocking is pretty much dead anyways, unless you are uber poor)

my case fans are PCTOYS 80mm crystal clear fans, /w bluw leds in them I think my processor fan is my big noisey problem.. but when i get my new pc set up (the 1 in my profile, got all the parts but just need to finish buying all my case stuff (cooling etc.)). what kinda heatsync/fan should i get? (754 soc. A64 3200+) i had a kick ass idea for a ducting system but its gonna be a bitch to make 2 120's on top of case, big hole for duct as a seprate structure, probably gonna weld it to the new case and kinda look like the Kingwin watercooling system. but also gonna have a ubar silent 120 in the case pushing air out to 1 or 2 blowhole fans on the side... possibly on the back, havnt decided yet what i wanna do.. but yah im gonna need silent 120's and/or maybe 80's fans depending on what im gonna do.. but yah what do ya think of the case i posted a link to?? http://xoxide.com/chenming301bk.html think the mod i have in mind would suit that good? (is it just me or does that case look a little stubby?)

lmao im too lazy to do that...... that requires massive typing of little words...... :D :D

And that is why someone told you to google. Also, try searching the forums using the "search" function. You may also try http://www.svc.com and look in the air cooling section. They have all the dB ratings for the fans they sell listed in their respective descriptions. Peruse the forums, learn something before you ask yet another question that has been answered a thousand times beforehand.
