The place that is local to me doesn't carry Grados or Beyers, and orders the higher end stuff they do carry.
Also, how are the Alessandro MS-1s? They look pretty good for about $100. That'd leave room for a better amp, and later a better headset.

Are you looking to get an amp? Then you should get some
refurb Sennheiser HD580s for ~$130.
No amp? Then these refurb HD280s for ~$65 should do the trick.
Of course, that's just based on my (limited) experience with headphones. MisterX's kungfu is superior to mine.

The MS-1s are regarded by many as the best headphones for $100. Sound compared closer to SR125, and better than SR80. Highs are a little less fatiguing than a SR60. Don't look for a big soundstage though, still very much Grado house sound.
