After seeing the pics and post from a lot of people of the westinghouse 37w3 i wanted to purchase one...bad thing is i'm stationed in South Korea and i couldn't find it here in this country and no one wants to ship something that big to an APO AP address...so i had to do the next best thing i went to our BX here on base and purchase the new 1080p 40incher Sony Bavia for double the cost of the westinghouse =/. $2066 or so can't remember exact price. but it should be delivered tomorrow at 11am so i'll get some pics here for ya'll. If any of ya'll ahve this new LCD TV can you plz share your experience with it for me. thanks in advance....

Thats insane..... Please post some pics when you get it going......

Smart Move Kassh, which model did you get? I picked up the KDL 40V2500 myself, was going for the BXR 40" but got a better deal and the V series is way lighter!

By the way you will love this monitor, superior picture to all other brands period!

sorry for no reply, work is crazy lol. Camera is out of power atm so i have to go pick up some AA batteries. was using this sucker as a PC monitor but 7000:1 contrast and the way my desk was set up was blinding the crap out of me and my neck was killing me for having to actually turn my head and sh!t to look at a specific spot lol.

If you are in South Korea, why not just buy the new Samsung CX305T, its res. is much higher than the sony. It's 2560x1600

umm didn't know about that monitor. but see here the small lil problem, you canh't drive in korea. so carrying that from the store to the train to my room would be one hella of a bitch to do. but i am moving to japan in a few months so i'll see what i can get there once i pay off my credit cards ^^

$2000 is a good price for the BRAVIA 1080p line. I personally have the XBR myself, and having compared to Sharp, Samsung, Westies, Vizios, it is untouchable in PQ. Sony's are the only ones with 1:1 pixel mapping, meaning you'll have no overscanning issues (very important if you plan to use with computing). Having said that, you should be aware of the mura effect the Sonys are plagued with. Also known as the uneven clouding backlight, it is visible in dark movies and low light conditions. The units affected by this "problem" are both the V and the XBR series. More information can be found here.

Finally i get around to finding my old POS camera to take some pictures...btw my camera as started in the beginning is a PIECE OF @#$% so plz dont think the quality of the tv is this bad. it doesn't do it any justice.

if any of ya'll can recommend a better jpg hosting site that be awsome, i dont like these lil thumbnails. using theimagehosting.com for these atm.
