Just wondering if anyone had seen something like a Danger Den Fillport with 8mm fitting or some way to make one work with an AquaComputer rig (a T-connection with 8mm barbs on the pass through and a 1/2" on the T)?

Not looking to use it as a fill port, trying to plumb a drain petcock inline at the lowest point to make draining fluid for maintenance easier.

Petcock, now there's a funny word... wonder what the etymology of that word is. On second thought I don't want to think about it.

Piece of cake! Is that what you wanted to hear?

Okay here we go! You need 1-2 of these ball valves. They have 1/4 BSPP threads on them so what you will want is a T fitting on one end of the valve. Sharka doesn't have them right at the minute, but should have them within a week because they have to order a couple for me. :D It will have a 1/4 BSPP male thread on the bottom of the T that will thread into the valve. The other two fittings on the top of the T will have your Plug and Cool 1/4 BSPP straight or bent as you deem necessary. Sharka's fitting page is here.

Heh... I was wondering how long it would take you to tell me exactly what I needed from Sharka... I wonder if there's anything I need for this build they're not going to be able to help out with.

Are those ball valves (okay, now we've got ball valves and petcocks) really that secure? I saw them but I didn't trust them as much as an open port with a stopper in it. Those things look like faucet shut-offs and I've got a faucet I have to fix this weekend because it's leaking.

Well they don't sell mb's, cpu's, or any kind of stuff like that. But they do have just about anything you might need to build a custom or stock cooling setup. They do sell Zalman fans, but I suggest an H20 cooler instead. ;)

Ball valves are very secure. When they are closed there is no way jose any water is going to leak through the valve. I'm putting in a similar setup so I can drain my rig just as easily. Now if you got kids and they can get inside the box to turn the valve then I would give something else a thought. Modsquad2 has something similiar, but he put a plug in one end just to be on the safe side though he has to put a fitting on to use it at some point in time.
