I built a new computer with this motherboard and this Hard Drive:

When I boot it up, and try to set up windows XP it says Hard drive not detected (please make sure the hard disk is connected properly and powered) But during the onboard Raid Bios Boot it sees the drive. So what do you guys recommend me do? I know the power is on the Drive the Sata Line is connected. Maybe my bios setting is not correct for first boot do i post to put HDD-0? Thanx for all replys!

Sorry this post is messy I've been workin on this comp for the past 4hrs and I dont do great with Computer problems, Stress from computer makes me very sleepy... and im like half asleep now... :( :(
 
The SATA comes with a little floppy disk? If so, have that ready. When installing XP, type in F6 when asked.

Then pop in the disk after pressing S. It will tell you.

Follow the prompt and you should be on your way.

Make sure that you are connecting the SATA drive to SATA 1 connecter on the motherboard and not a diff. connector.
 
Make sure you have Windows install the correct driver. I had to do this with my Abit NF7-S v2.0 and the driver diskette had three different makes of SATA drivers.

Ugh, and for my second reformat, the driver I needed on the diskette became corrupt, so I had to use my other computer to overwrite it with the driver file from the CD-ROM. The floppy drive was still mounted in my new case, so I had the IDE going from my new case to my old case, and power coming from my old case. Heh. It was neat, like two cases flirting...er...
