Well my trinitron monitor just went off of warrenty and its gone bad again. Im looking to get a decent priced LCD ($0-$350 if possible) and i need soemthing with a pretty good response time since i do game frequently (CS, BF1942). Whats a good LCD in the 17" range?

Browse the DISPLAY forum, there are ton of recommendations and alot of input on different brands, etc.

i did browse it for a couple days and i read the sticky as well... I just need a recommendation since so many places say so many things... Im looking for more personal experience, hence the post. (and yes i found out the 2001fp was not as good as the price)

Unfortunatly quiksilverx181, you won't find any of the 17" 16ms response time LCD's on the market currently for $350 or less. If your willing to pay a little more ($450-550) you could get some of the following:

1. Hitachi CML175SXW2b
2. Planar PQ170
3. Benq FP791
4. Viewsonic VP171B

There are other models from other companies as well, and there are threads on some of these. Basically all these 17" LCD's use the same panel (made by the same company), so its the extras with the LCD that make the difference.

Hope this helps ya.
