Some help with LCD TV...

My sister is looking at this LCD TV and called awhile ago and asked me some questions, which I honestly told her I dont know. She bought my nephew a shuttle awhile back and an 17 in LCD for his bedroom. His room is small so instead of having a TV and the 17 in LCD she wants to buy him that for christmas so he can use that for both TV and monitor. I told her I dont have much faith in LCD TV's as monitors, I went that route one time and wasnt too pleased....took it back to Best Buy right away. I really dont know what all he does gaming-wise, I know he has an Xbox, and has a few older PC games. But mostly I think just general use and watching TV would be all he would use it for.

If you look at the specs. on the PDF it doesnt sound too bad. But im in no position to give her advice, as LCD's arent my thing. The price is right it would seem, but shes a single mother so I dont want her to waste money on this and not be happy. If one of you guys could look at the specs and give your opinion I would appreciate it. Shes looking for an answer soon, and quite honestly I dont know what to say. Thanks.
