Hi there,

So I an old box with several old harddisks. Lately its been messing up, and destroying my disks. Worse, my disks suddenly loose size.

Example: I had a 3tb WD Red, which crashed. All of a sudden it was RAW format, and I could only see 746TB. I took it to the store, and they said it was fine.

Ok, but at home its still only 746gb. So I though, well it had crashed anyway. Im gonna get a new one, just for safety. THe new one, is a 4tb. But the computer can see only 1677gb. If that wasnt enough, another disk died, and went to 3tb RAW. I didnt really need anything on it, so I just deleted the RAW volume, and now, it sees only 746gb there as well.

Seems like a software problem? Or what? I still have several live 3tb disks here. So, .. ?

Anyone have any clue as to what is going on? Why wont windows see my disks anymore?

OS: Win7 x64
Motherboard: Asus ROG III.

Nevermind. A crash had apparently rolled back my Intel Rapid Storage Technology to an old version. Now it works.
