I was going to buy a compact flash to EIDE converter, but seeing that the CF cards dont hold up to constand reading and writing cycles, i looked for "ram disk" on ebay.

What i came up with was a 10GB (i think it had a SCSI interface) solid state hard drive that used some sort of computer ram, and a battery to keep it all there when the power is turned off.


Im putting together a freesco server, no fans at all, and i thought it would be excellent to have something in there that is fast, silent, and has low power consumption.

Is there such thing still avalible for 72pin simms, or even pc100/133 ram?
