Software to use webcam as "security cam"?

Quick question:
Are there any software programs out there that can use your currently working webcam as a security cam?

I'm primarily looking for storing recordings by day, then overwriting the previous weeks worth of recordings.

I use Windows Media Encoder with my IP cam. I'm sure it can work with USB though if that's what you are using.

lol - Unfortunately it will JUST be used for a security cam.
