Software to play DVD's

What is a good software to play DVD, especially one that is free? I would like to be able to watch DVD's in slow motion, move frame by frame, and watch DVD's in fast forward. I have a sony DVD player that plays the frame at 1.4 X speed and you can still hear the audio. Is there anything available like this?

Media Player Classic or VideoLAN might be able to do it (I dunno, I haven't played DVDs with them personally).

You could also use Zoomplayer Pro, technically it's free if you don't mind putting up with the "please reg" pop up each time you load it (doesn't really bother me).
