So while OCing do reviewers consider/display CPU or Core temp?

If you use something like Everest you see your CPU temp as read externally by the motherboard and then you read the internal temp per core basis thats got via the on-die diode.

So all these sites like [H] or anand or whatever, when they show temperatures in OCing and mention it was stable at X degrees and Y clock...what are they referring to? Core (like the hottest of them all) or CPU overall?

Any good site to see what are the "safe" temperature ranges for cores?

Most reviews should say what temps they're referring to, but I think they tend to use the CPU temp that programs such as Everest, SmartGuardian, MBM, etc would give.

As for max temps that are safe, you can check the manufacturer's webpages/manuals, or, depending on what kind of chip you have, check TCaseMax. But these also refer to CPU temps as read by programs such as those listed above.
