so what should I do?

I don't have much money to spend so I can do one of these choices (my current mobo sucks at overclocking)
1. get 2 gigs of good RAM so I can overclock at a 1:1 ratio (but not by that much because of my mobo)
2. get a new mobo that's better for OCing and 1 gig of good RAM so that I can OC at a 1:1 ratio
3. get a new mobo and one more gig of Value RAM so I can overclock my processor more but I would need to use a memory divider.

Gaming = Option 3

Meaning more RAM will better your gaming experience more than faster/better RAM. In all likelyhood I would just add another gig of RAM and call it good. You're not going to get much boost in games with a newer mobo.
