IT was free, a friend of my mum's gave it to me. It runs good. Apart from this... Anyway, the problem is it loads up, and once it gets past the XP Loading screen, it starts flashing. Sometimes I unplug it and plug it back in, and the computer runs on it fantasticly, but that doesn't always happen. So does anyone know what the heck I should do?

Note: It runs perfectly on my mum's 200MHZ Pentium, Windows 98...so yeah... :rolleyes:

Edit: It's a Philips 150 S4, by the way.
 
Because a company went out of business...As I said, it works perfectly on my mum's PC... And right now I'm typing through the LCD. Sometimes it goes, sometimes it doesn't. The screen is perfect too, no dead pixels. But I still would like to resolve tihs problem.
 
Your video card doesn't have the vertical freq. to support that LCD. Must be an old sys. Get a new video card, I have seen this many times
 
Oh, so my 9600Pro does'nt have a good enough frequency, but my mum's piece of crap one does? :wacko: But in all seriousness. The card might be a bit fucked, I'm getting a new one soon, (about christmas, at least)
 
Does your system detect the monitor, or have you tried installing the driver for that monitor type before attaching it?
 
Well, it's been working since a little while after my last post. I thought I would run it a bit longer to see how it turns out. And, it's running great. :) Starts every time. Dunno what the matter was, but, it don't matter. Works great. Gogo getting free stuff. :cool:
