Well after being surprised last night with a delivery of all my parts for my water cooling rig, go fedex! I opened it and checked everything and I found that I am missing the ramsinks for the vid card memory and also fittings for the pump. I can't begin to tell you how bummed I am, I was sooooo loooking forward to spending the next two days going watercooled. I've sent an email to DD so I'm sure they'll make good on the order.

I hope everyone is having a Happy New year!

they fubared my order as well. Sent me a Black Ice XFLOW instead of a Black Ice Xtreme.

Wow that sucks, I was in high hopes it was just a mistake due to the high volume christmas season! Oh well, I've ordered from a lot of places and had similar mistakes happen, I'm just hoping they make it right as quick as possible. :D

I'm sure they filled hundreds or thousands of orders in between you two's orders. I had an order made, changed a bit at the last minute over the phone (it was sitting on the dock waiting to go out in fact) and still sent out that day and they got everything 99.99999% correct.

There was one nylon washer missing for one Maze 4 GPU block. But I did get extra stuff for the CPU block...

The long and the short of it is they're only human.

Yeah...must have been dumb luck. I actually just ordered from DD this past week and changed my order via phone twice. They got everything right and even sent me out something not ready for shipping just yet because I asked.

I am sure they will make good on your mistakes this week.

Yeah they messed my order too, but made good on it. Excellent customer service...

Glad to hear that, I still have yet to hear from them though in reply to my email. I assume they took the first of the year off as well as I did. :)

Hope that gets fixed for you so you can get that stuff set up.

Me too just starring at all the parts this weekend was driving me crazy. lol

I've been going over all the different ways of routing the tubes as well as placement of rads/res so it's been good. You know the whole measure twice cut once thing. I'm guessing that if I did have all the parts I would have been tempted to get right into it and screw something up.

I have a question, I went ahead and purchased the MCT 40 non conductive fluid with my kit. However with the size of the tubing and the volum involved I may not have quite enough to fill everything, would I be able to mix some steam distilled water to that stuff? If not, I'll go the steam distilled/pentosin route.

I've run aquariums in my home for years so I'm not so worried about leaks as some might be.

i dono imho i think some people of giving a few of these w/c companies too much credit, iv ordered loads of stuff from newegg and they wouldnt make any mistakes, but i guess its possible that theyre a smaller company and might have a hard time with orders

um... newegg deals with boxes in warehouses. having worked for a watercooling company i know its a bit more difficult than all that. comparing any company smaller than amazon to newegg is kind of silly in the first place.

When I was getting the WC gear I was also getting a bunch of stuff from newegg and they ended up shipping the AS5 to me express in an envelope rather than in one of the boxes with everything else.

Kind of leads me to suspect that someone failed to put it in the box along with everything else. Just goes to show that things happen.

I somehow doubt they would send me the ramsinks and pump fittings seperately and not send me a seperate tracking number, but you never know. Until I get a response from them it's all speculation.

Anyone ever use the MCT 40 fluid? Can you dilute it with distiled water if needed?

I also had a recent order (2 or 3 weeks ago) with dangerden get screwed up. They were extremely prompt with their reply and are shipping me out the missing part immediately. For that I will continue to purchase from them; great customer service is a Godsend. :)

I doubt they did, my point was that not even the mighty 'egg is exempt from the occasional mixup.

dilluting the mct-40 with water would negate its non-conductive properties. I myself got an apex kit with the mcw55 and 32 ounces of primochill ice, i used about 2/3 of the bottle with the microres full to the brim. So around 20 ounces to fill me up, if your worried about loop length look here for a bad pic of my in-process setup, thats a thermaltake xaser III full tower.

Well got my parts in, and installed everything. Right now as you can see from the pics it's all put together and being leak tested. It's not the slickest setup in the world but I was pretty darn proud for my first foray into water cooling. I have to say I didn't realize how damned loud all my fans were, especially the one on the 6800 ultra. lol
