This really wasn't that hard to find considering it's right there on the documents page of the snort site... but I figured I'd go ahead and point it out for some of you guys looking to play around/use an IDS on your network. http://www.snort.org/docs/snort_acid_rh9.pdf
The guide is very straight forward but you are still going to need a bit of linux knowledge to get it all working. Any you out there using snort? I'm still trying to figure out the rules syntax but it seems to be pretty neat so far.
