I was given an old dual xeon server a couple of days that I am going to gut and toss in a haswell cpu i have, small board ram etc and turn it into my NAS/home server. Windows will be the OS so I want to which I should consider Snapraid or disParity? Right now I have just 4tb HGST drives but at some point i will start using the 6tbs so I guess i should i should start using a 6tb as a parity drive now?

I don't see any advantage for disparity. I run snapraid, ,only alternative that I could see looking at would be flexraid with its better pooling and stuff. But meh, snapraid is just so solid.
