Hi,
I'm a bit thick when its comes to these, this is the first one I've had!
I have a big problem with a SN85G4 (Version 1.0) I've got a Sempron 3000+ 64 installed which comes up as AMD Hammer unkown model, so I need to flash the bios as its still running on the factory bios but here's the problem; It posts fine goes through drive list, IRQ settings then it freezes if I try to boot from ide hd or dvd. If I try to boot from floppy it doesn't even see it. I get the following message if I boot with no disk in the dvd;
NVIDIA BOOT AGENT 191.034
PXE -E61 : media test failure, check cable
PXE -MOF: exiting Nvidia boot agent
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
I've tried replacing the ide cables, the hd, dvd, memory, graphics card, same result. I've tried the jumper settings on the ide devices, I can get into the bios but can't find much to help there, the hard-disc and dvd are recognised though and I have reset the CMOS. I bought this off somebody who claimed it was fully working, any help would be great as this is/was to be my christmas present!
Thanks again,
John
