SN41G2V2 Died?

Hey - yesterday I went to install a mediocre FX 5500 card into my SN41G2V2 and am having a serious problem. If anyone could help I would appreciate it, here's what happened:

I put the card in, booted up fine and installed recent Forceware drivers. After that I realized I forgot to reconnect my CDROM's IDE cable, so I powered down and plugged it back in. When I went to boot back up, pressing the power button did nothing - no fan spin, no power/HD LED's, no beeps, nothing.

I took out the videocard, tried again, still nothing. I took out the CDROM and HD, looked for loose connections, took out and replugged in the power switch -> mobo connection, still nothing. It looks like the machine is getting power because when I plug it into the wall a green LED on the motherboard turns on.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? Could I have fried the motherboard somehow? It seems unlikely... thanks for the help.
 
maybe try to remove the ide cable on ur cdrom again? get it back to how it was workign before, and slowly figure out whats causing the problem by testing each component out?
 
Thanks for the response but right now I am running with literally nothing connected other than the CPU and RAM - I took out the graphics card, the cdrom, and the hard drive. The machine still will not even spin the fans, it doesn't seem to respond to the power button at all.
 
Attach a ATX PSU to it and try it again with no equpiment and see if it lives. If not, im afraid you gotta dead system board.
 
plug it in and wait.. This happend on my SB75G2..

I plugged it in.. wait for it to "charge" up for a while (like 5 minutes) then try it.
