SN21G5 BIOS “safe mode” problem

Okay, I just put together a new SN21G5. It’s got an Opteron 165 (dual-core, 1.8Ghz) and 1GB (2x512) of Kingston DDR400. The 165 is reportedly highly overclockable, so I’ve been messing around with it. In the BIOS I’ve set the CPU Frequency to 242 and kept its multiplier at x9. I’ve left the PCIE clock at 100Mhz, but I set the RAM clock to 166. So this gives me a CPU running at 2178Mhz, but the RAM’s still running around 400Mhz, and it works great - I can boot into Windows without a hitch, and it doesn’t bluescreen or hang or do anything weird - even if I put a 100% load on both cores for a prolonged period. When I cold boot, however, the BIOS halts with an error saying that it is in safe mode and to reset the CPU frequency. If I go into the BIOS and just immediately save and exit, it will reboot and continue on into Windows without a problem, and the overclocked settings will work fine. The only problem I have is the BIOS safe mode error at boot. Anybody ever run into this before? More importantly, anybody know how I can fix this? Oh, and it’s running the latest BIOS (dated Feb 28, 2006). Thanks for any help!
