smpd.exe dissapears.

This entire file smpd.exe disappeared on 2 of my SMP machines both of them are on different networks, not corrupted, just gone, then manually starting fah.exe would give smpd.exe not found, and then a lot of other irrelevant mumbo jumbo.
has it happened to anyone else?
i just had to reinstall, but imagine if it happened to someone with a lot of borgs?
