OK...am I that frickin dense? I manage to pretty damn good when it comes to computers and even got the SMP client up and running as a service a while back - what a pain in the butt that turned out to be. Now that the client needs replacing, I see people talking about a "dropin" for the exe.... What the heck is that? When I DL the file (Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe), if I run it I go through the whole install routine again. Does dropin mean that I just put it somewhere and forget it?

Thanks for humoring me and my stoopidness....

It's just the executable you d/l from Stanford and overwrite the existing .exe...No uninstall/reinstall necessary.

just stop the service. replace executable, restart service. that is it
