Smooth Scrolling?

Hey

I installed a new hard drive after my old one died, and now, after formatting and installing windows on the new one, when I go to install my ATI drivers, it will just crash saying:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application"

This is for a 9600 256, and this is using both the drivers from the cd, and from the website. It, I believe, is the cause for poor scrolling in IE.

Any help would be great, thanks

what version of windows?

got SP2 installed if XP? DX9.0c?

chipset drivers?

download the ATI drivers again and try it again?

try installing them in safe mode?

i also had a small problem with my mouse locking up the pc in IE ... fresh logitec drivers fixed it.. worth a shot

Well, i installed the drivers, and it just crashes on restart, coming up with a blue screen blaming the recent video drivers.

They are the latest drivers from ATI's website, and to uninstall them I have to go into safe mode. And the motherboard driver's are installed. SP1 XP Home. I'll look into SP2.

I'll try it in safe mode, thanks for the idea.

Don't you need SP2 for the cat5.4's?

Also, if you're having problems use that magical F8 thing to get into Safe Mode. Works every time for me.
