I recently reformatted and now when I go to the ATI Device Settings under Smartgart my AGP Speed is set to "off." The fast writes section is completely greyed off (I guess b/c it doesn't apply when AGP Driver support is "off.") When I set the AGP Speed to 8X it prompts me to reboot saying the settings will take effect if they are determined to be safe, but apparently they aren't, because upon rebooting the AGP Speed is still at "off." Any suggestions to fix this? System specs:

P4 2.8C
1 gig PC3200
Radeon 9800 Pro
Abit IC7-Max3

It was working ok prior to the reformat. Thanks!

install your chipset and agp drivers that came with your mobo, or new ones from the net.

Haha, I just came back to report that in my infinite stupidity I thought I had installed the chipset drivers but really hadn't; looks like fishie beat me to it.
