SMART data corrupt

It seems that the SMART data on one of my 2 WD2500KS HDDs is corrupted. Even the Attributes are all screwy. It used to work fine. I've tried different programs (DOS and Windows) and all are giving the same results. I've checked the cables and updated my BIOS. Otherwise the drive is operating normally. Here is the SMART data form the 2 drives:

Any ideas on how to fix this, besides getting a new drive?
 
have you run the WD Data lifeguard diagnostics? You may need to get it RMAd in order to get that fixed :(
 
Yeah. Same results :( Problem is convincing the shop where I bought it that there's something wrong with the drive. RMA is not an option as I'm not in the US :(

print out the results for the drive. that should convince them.
 
Depending on what country you live in, the local laws may protect you as the buyer.

WD will RMA drives worldwide. It's not an advance RMA, but if you send them your drive they'll send you a new one (provided, of course, that you follow their directions ;)).
 
So what's the outcome? Gonna RMA it? Have you chosen a backup solution to prevent this kind of thing in the future yet? ;)

I followed protias' advice and sent it back to the shop with a printout from DataLifeGuard Diagnostics. RMA would have been to expensive (I'm in South Africa). Though I have a few things that are not backed up, they're not critical. The critical stuff are backed up on multiple DVD copies (is that any good?). I recently reverted (converted?) from RAID0 to non-RAID and would've never known there was a problem. The drive was still working, but it was empty anyway ;) Will let you know what the final outcome is....
