Small case mod idea

I just got this idea, and I think I'm going to run with it. I have the ultra-common antec tower, windowed side etc. I went ahead and got a CCFL a year or so ago for the window, and put a 4" CCFL inside the front door covering the 5.25 bays, using paper to diffuse the light. Paired up with the blue lights from my Vantec Nexus dials, and blue case LEDs (no additional, just replaced) -- it looks pretty nice.

Anyway, I got the idea to take off my [H] case badge, cut out the case badge square on the front door and replace the square with a small piece of acryllic. That way, when I have the 4" CCFL turned on, there should be a nice glowing square on the front that I could easily put a stencil over for different designs.

Good idea? Tips? Anyone done it before ( I have not heard of anybody). . . Pics to come unless I screw it up!

Well since everybody is obviously so interested -- here ya go:

That's the prelim -- I'm going to be cutting some more acryllic/plexi badges and etching them. . . as well as testing some laminating sheets of different colors, and simple cut-outs to go behind it. So far, so good!

I like it. More people (me included) need to think of and implement more subtle mods like this, they add a nice touch.
