i think my Promise Ultra133 TX2 IDE controller is why my system is pretty slow when transferring data (60gb from drive to drive in 4hrs!!). how can i test this? of course, i have not tested it in another pci slot...i never had this slow of transfer rates in a previous system with this card.

odd thing, last night, i was transferring things just fine....but i'll take a look tonight when i get home for some updated drivers.
 
hmm, must have been a fluke the other day then because both drives benchmarked at 81 MB/s
