I was wondering if the Thermalright SLK948U was 939 compatible? The website only states AM64/FX, not the socket it can be used on.

I got a 939 FX 53 on the way and wanted to know if I should get this cooler or not.

Which fan do you have on it? Was thinking about getting a Tornado and a Nexus Controller card but head that the Nexus has a buzzing sound at low speeds...

Hows the XP-90 perform against it?

I have a 948 too and use a panaflo 92mm high speed - 57cfm @ ~35db. Unless you really, really need tornado cooling the panaflo is the next best as far as noise/performance IMHO.

i have a 92mm tornado on mine with that hooked up to my nexus fan speed controller. with the fan on high i get about 39c temps idle, with it on low i get 41c. Load with the fan on high is about 50c. i dont run low on load because that usually equals a BSOD

I get 39c idle, 48c load with my setup, im a bit surprised the tornado doesnt do better on full.
