sli card availability in a year???

If i buy one 6800gt now from leadtek lets say, will the same one be available in a year so that i can sli, as i have heard that you need two cards from the same manufacturer...

I dont see why it wouldnt. I mean you can still find gf4 ti4600 cards brand new and those are 2 gens old.
