Hello, hardware professionals! I have got one question: why my hdd always making clicking noises when I start computer after sleep mode? Is sleep mode harms hdd? Or the reason of it in something else?
 
Hopefully it's no an SSD clicking..

Are you certain it's not a dvd/cdrom drive?

What sort of device is this? laptop, macbook, tower, etc?
 
It's a pc. and I am sure it's the sound from internal hdd. At that moment computer freezes.
The sound like heads parking.
 
Wait.. when the computer is going to sleep or when it is waking?
 
While waking.
Very rarely when I launch Rad Studio too. But usually while waking it freezes and I hear repeating spinning sounds.
I know, that maybe because it's not a new hdd, it has been working for 4 years. But I don't understand, why when it loads after sleep mode these sounds appear? When I start computer in usual way, it works fine, but after sleep mode it loads with spinning sounds. Maybe sleep mode harms hdd? what do you think?
