slave switch??

I have a hard drive that is no longer working(externally). i am trying to add it to my comp as a slave drive. it says to hit the switch from master to slave. problem is there is no switch. any help is appreciated...thanks guys.

( i can get pics if i am not making myself clear.)
 
nevermind, i found it. still does not work though. anyone know a place that i could maybe send this HD for data recovery? i really need this information.
