I noticed skype tends to write alot on my ssd..for the chat history im wondering has anyone created a symbolic link for their skype?

which link did you use? /d /j /h ?

Im trying to also create a link for my appdata C:\Users\Pc20\AppData\Roaming\Skype to my d:\skypedata

trying to see what links you guys used.

I have not because a 25nm ssd can take nearly 600tb of writes and skype won't even come close.

skype takes forever to start, it's one of the main reasons I even have an ssd.

If you have a current gen SSD, between the resiliency of the NAND and the spare they include, regular users will not have to worry about wearing out the media for 5-10 years.
