As you know I want to light up my etched flames with LED's.
My train of thought
-Line the edge of the plexi with LED's
-The LED color choice would be UV
-I would like a option where ALL leds would light up and an option where they would flicker on
and off. As to give the illusion that the flames where dancing.
I really wanted to also throw in another option of using Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink, and White
LED's on a dancing circuit to give the illusion of real life dancing flames. Though I am now
thinking about NOT using this idea since I have never messed with this kind of color
coordination before. (What do you guys think?)
Also since this computer is going to be water cooled I wanted to drill a small hole in the
side of any clear top water block and illuminate that as well.
Update Canceled for Tonight
-sorry guys. I did start on the radiator cut out tonight but am unable to post any new info
because I did not bring my camera but used my buddies and well his girl called and
yelled at him for not being home. So we had no time to send the images to me.
I guess you guys will have to wait a few more hours
Wow, those flames look sick! This is very creative. I like it! I also like your idea about the LEDs to give the look of flames. So I did a quick google and found this (search the page for "random" )... Not sure how/where to get one, but it looks like it has all the features you'd need: 5 LEDs, adjustability, runs on 3V. Or building one doesn't look too bad either.
Gotta love seeing another 767 owner. Dunno what your watercooling plans are but a 240 rad fits nicely in the front bays with 1 dvd drive and the harddrive caddy without having to cut into the top of the case.
Though I decided against it because I did not feel that there would be enough air flow into
the case. I thought about cutting flames out of the front door, but could not figure out
how to make them look good enough on paper to attempt it.
So I decided to use cut out the radiator ontop and give the top of the case a little somethingsomething
Hay guys, Again I am sorry for the long delay. Things have not been going so well in my life
and then in the same note I have never been more busy in my life too.
I am going to try to get the rest of the case cut and prep it for sanding tomorrow.
Lets see If I actually do some work this time, lol
