Hey guys, I have had this shuttle pc for a while now and its great but it uses a wierd kind of ICE system and the 80 mm fan in the back is 80x80x15 instead of the normal 80x80x25. The one that came with it was a Sunon and, as most other SK83G users know, it crapped out after about 3 months of use. So I got a Zalman slim-fan which is also 80x80x15. The slim-fan seemed to work ok but it does not push out as much air as the Sunon fan and is starting to die and I need a new fan. I don't want to get a Zalman again but I have been looking around and I can not find any other 80x80x15 fan that will go in the back. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find one of these guys or any quick easy mods I can do to the inside to be able to fit an 80x80x25 fan? Any help would be great, thanks guys.

I had the same problem w/ my Shuttle ST62K. Here's what I did...

-Remove Stock Fan
-Bend out little silver tabs on fan holder so they are straight and not on a 90 degree angle
-Use 4 zip ties at all 4 corners to secure standard 80mm fan

Worked like a charm and no more fan problems.

Thanks, I have heard of people doing that before but never did because I wasn't sure how reliable zip ties would be but I suppose it couldn't hurt to give it a try.
