What are the opinions on a decent single slot (due to space) graphics card for casual gaming?

I have seen the geforce 730s and 740s but was thinking of waiting until a 750 becomes avail stateside.

Thoughts folks?

Thanks
Jim;)

The only truly decent single slot cards with GDDR5 ram / 128bit memory busses are the R7 250/250x (and their 77xx analogues), or the GT 730/750/750 Ti. You may not be able to find a 7770 / R7 250X in single-slot, but i do remember seeing some in the past. Also note that the GT 730 is actually a 64bit GDDR5 part, but is actually quicker than the 740 cause it is a Kepler chip. (Go figure)

All of that being said, it would help if you specified an ceiling on your price range.

Thanks for the info. Budget, since I am a casual gamer, is around $200.

Stuff exists, but the decent quality gaming-worthy ones are hard to find in the US because most regular retailers don't sell them. The ones they do sell are usually single slot bracket + multi slot height, or multi slot bracket + multi slot height. Single slot bracket + single slot height is a rarity.

Nevertheless, here's some that meet your qualifications, but they're going to be harder than normal to obtain:

AFOX 7850 single slot
Galax 750ti razor single slot
ELSA 750ti single slot

So, would it be worth my while to pick up a 730 until the 750 gets to the US or just hang in with the i7's HD 4600 builtin?

powercolor hd 7750
xfx r7 250e
gainward single slot gtx 750

the above are sub $200. all of the video cards listed by pornosatan typically sell above $200 and in the case of the afox hd 7850 $300, that is when they can be found. there are galax razors available on ebay now in the $230 range.

Haha, I'd almost forgotten about it, but why the hell do they advertise G-Sync compatibility for the Galax Razor when it doesn't even have a displayport?
