I have been looking everywhere for numbers on this. I am getting 3 20" Emachine lcds and have a single 5870 and a Q9450 at 3.6. Just can't find what settings, resolution, fps people get with this setup. I plan on upgrading next month when the refresh hits btw. Not doing crossfire unless it suddenly makes sense.

Single 5870 + Eyefinity BFBC2 FPS?

I got high 30's to low 50's with high settings and x2 AA on single 5850. Three 22" monitors.

20-40 on low settings with a Q6600 OC to 3.0Ghz at 5760x1200
20" is only 1680 x 1050? seems like you should get good FPS on that but I couldnt tell you what the typical bezel compensated resolution would be.

My fps range would be 60 to 80fps most of the time at 5760x1200 with the following settings set in the ini file:

You can barely get 60fps at 1920x1200 at medium settings on a 5870?? On my 5870 running at 900/1200 I can fully max out BC2 with 8xAA 16xAF DX11 and HBAO and average around 60fps.

then ill take a big hunch that your cpu limited since BFBC2 is a cpu core/clock monster or your running really old drivers..
that also goes piscian and his measly 3ghz overclock on his Q6600.. get that thing into the 3.4-3.6ghz range and you will see a nice boost in frame rate..
The upcoming refresh isn't going to offer anything that beats a 5870. So you'll have to wait for the Caymen to hit the market for a 5870 beater, whenever that may be. Personally I won't be looking at upgrading my 2x 5870's until the 28nm cards come out.

None of those links work for me.
I just set everything to high and 4XAA and got about the same frame rate as medium and 1XAA. lol
I am sticking with a single card for now. I do not want to change mobos b/c i have a GIgabyte P-45 DS3L. Probably get a 2GB Caymen when it releases.

for competitive play, turn all settings to low, then i can average over 60fps all the time @ 3 * 24 inch 1920*1200 monitors. Still looks pretty good, all those effects and stuff just take away from killing others effectively 
Only been messing with Eyefinity for a day or so, so more info as I get to play more maps and try higher settings, anyone else feel a bit naseous at first using Eyefinity, FPS games want to make me hurl, yes i'm using wider FOV for most things. Also profiles seem unreliable switching between Eyefinity and extended seems to break the monitor layout and i have redo them, any pointers appreciated. Really impressed with how much power a single 5870 has at high res, Dirt2 and F1-2010 really look great and NFS Shift was pretty awesome.

Well I reformatted, now all I have on my gaming pc is BFBC2 and that is it. Runs way faster now.More like 100-150fps Only issue is that the game is stuck on DX10. Changed it in my game settings doc and it shows dx = 11 but in game it says dx10. lol whatever.
