I currently have an H50 cooling my x6 and it does a pretty good job, but I am wanting a single loop. The budget is $100/150 and I do not mind buying used.

I am thinking the radiator would have to go on the outside back of the case. Not sure what size would fit back there but it has 2 holes for the tubing. I would like the res to go in the drive bays up front. I would like the tubing to be thick and white. Not sure about pump size or placement, but would like the option to cool a video card in the future. I would like the coolant to be blue and visible in the drive bay res.

I have never put together a loop before and I am looking for advice on what is needed for the above. Thanks for any input =)

If you want the simplest solution look into a XSPC kit or a Swiftech kit. The XSPC fits your price range better but the Swiftech comes with everything for hang-off-the-back mounting.

As far as tubing, you'll need to get that separately I'd guess. This person (http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=127111) used 3/4" OD and it fit so the grommets shouldn't be too restrictive.
 
So the XSPC kit is alright and the only other thing I would need to buy is the tubing?
 
In your price range your best bet would be the xspc kit

It will be difficult to exceed that performance even if you buy used at your price point.
You could add another radiator to the kit, and gain some serious performance, but between it and fans it would put you well over 200 dollars.

Although a quad swiftech, rad box, 4 gts, mcp35x, + res, + rad box, + 5 feet of tubing, fill port, and apoggee xt would be a great way to gain 5c, but it will also cost you 400 dollars.

If your patient, you could spend the next month, and scour the forums for used deals.

Tubing was a freebie with a case/psu that I bought.
270 used.
I paid about 300 for 5870 that came with an ek block.
So 570 Total.
Or about what it would cost me to get the same equipment new, without the actual card.

My suggestion is to start with the xspc kit, it will be more than sufficient for your cpu only loop.
Once you go above that, the cost/benefit really gets absurd.
 
both the Swiftech and XSPC kits include tubing. The Swifty has 6 feet of 1/2-3/4" tubing. THe XSPC kit has 2 meters of 7/16ID (OD not specified) tubing.

Edit: updated because google took me to an obsolete swifty kit.
