Simple headphones question

I modern headphones in which the cord only goes to one side, how does the sound get to the other side? Is their a cord in the headband?

It's a pretty stunning technological feat. It was all the rage at CES 2003, when it was first demoed. Everyone was coming out with all these two cord designs, trying to be innovative with ideas like cinching the cord up to the chin to get them out of the way, and all the suddenly everyone was showed by a little upstart company who fed the other wire through the head band.

As ap3rtis pointed out, yea, there is another wire that goes around to the other driver.
