Simple Fan Question

I am about to order two of these and started thinking about where to plug them in.

My mobo (MSI SLI-F) has four fan commectors: CPUFAN (self explainatory), NBFAN (preplugged into the north-bridge fan), and then SYSFAN1 and 2. My case (Antec Sonata II) came with a psu that has a plug to control the variable fan. I have this plugged into SYSFAN1, jsut because it is the closest plug. The 120mm fan already in my case only connects using a regular 4pin connector (like on a IDE drive), and has a switch attached to it, marked low, medium, and high.

Since I am getting rid of it, it appears I need 3 fan plugs, but I dont have that many :\

I noticed in the pictures for the new fans that there is a larger cable... can this take the place of the smaller 3pin connectors that attach to the mobo? Or are those an optional power source and all the fans still need to be plugged into the board for them to function?

I think I got all my questions out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can use that adapter that comes with your new fans to power the fans without connecting them to the motherboard
