Hey found this psu about my price range and modular! just one thing the reviews at newegg say to test it first with volt meter because it has blown alot of peoples components! so my question is how do i test it with out plugging it in? (i have another psu im giving away and want to test it out too with out plugging it in.. Does anyone have a better modular psu recommendation or thoughts about this one!? one last thing is there anyway to see the diff versions by a serial or should there be a date on it?
 
Plug a paperclip into the green and any black wire on the main 20- or 24-pin connector. That will power the PSU on.
