i think it was boasist that said he replaced the psu fan w/ silenex fans... do psu fan have the same connectors? and is it easy to replace them?
 
Most PSU fans have a 2 pin connector. You can take scissors and cut off the third connector or if there is space, just plug in the red and black wires. The yellow is used for fan monitoring.

yes on the silverstone PSU they use a 2 pin fan tail on a special connector, its a bit thinner than normal fan tails, 2 or 3 pin. So i cut off the silverstone tail, and soldered that on to my silenx fans. then slipped the tails back on the the headers.

no problems, one of the fan tails was glued on, so it was a little tough to remove in such a tight space.....especially since I was being very cautious not to touch anything to avoid getting shocked.

inside of the PSU as well you will find trim pots for the voltage lines, i didn't touch these because the PSU is just so solid anyway, but i suppose you could play around with them for OC'ing and such.
 
yeah... i took it apart yesterday and looked at it... i'm probably gonna order a couple of silenx fans... the fan that pulls are into the psu will be easy to replace, the other one looks like it could be a little difficult... how to you pull it out?
 
just unscrew that little bracket in the left corner and push it back slightly then pull it out the side. little tough but no problems really.
