I have seen ppl putting these silver coils in their waterloop to prevent growth. i have a .999 silver troy ounce if i put this in my loop it would serve the same purpose correct?

Yes, it should serve the same purpose considering that it is .999 silver and the fact that it's almost 24 times the weight of a kill coil! /jealous

hhm. I have a .999 silver coin sitting here as well. Never through to use it for that purpose.

A troy ounce of silver is only worth around $35 right now (maybe buillion is worth a little more), not like hes throwing gold buillion in there, lol.

I saw a guy use a pure silver Jesus one time in his reservoir.

Your silver bullion should work fine as long as it doesn't have some goofy finish on it.

IandH uses some pretty fancy washes on their kill coils to make sure you get the full antifungal benefit.;)

It looks nice, but in the third picture it looks like it could restrict the water flow. I think you could put in like a res or something though, that would be a good idea....

I have it in my reservoir.
