Silly question about daisy chaining

I want to buy 2 monitors to connect to a laptop, with one usb-c cable to the laptop. Most of the monitors I've been looking at can be daisy chained. As long as both monitors have Display Port out am I good to go? Or does one of the monitors have to have a hub (like some Dells advertise)?
 
If you're not familiar with acronyms, MST stands for Multi Stream Transport.
