I killed my beast over the weekend

It actually still works, but you would probably need to bolt it into place since the broken blades mess up the airflow and it rattles like crazy

So a friend gave me a bunch of extra 80mm fans he had and I constructed something...interesting.

I used to do the same thing. 5 stacked 5v 80mm fans. Same motherboard too. It helped keep my damn SB cool (worst heatsink ever on that thing). at 5v those fans are *silent*. But yes, at 12v, I'd love to hear that beside me

Um... I have to wonder... how... did you destroy that fan? I hope nothing got *caught* in it... at 115cfm, well, that might hurt

I was at a LAN on Saturday....was over playing XBOX 360, about 15 feet away from my idle computer...all of a sudden, I hear a loud *CRACK*.

My friend sitting next to my computer goes "OHHH SHIIT!"

And I'm like "WTF WAS THAT???"

I peer into my side panel and my little pusher was rattling around, with 3 blades sitting on the floor of the case.




Must have got caught in something, but I have no idea what since no one saw.
