I have a Shuttle SK43G with a Mobile XP 2400+. Right now, I have it at a 12.5 Multiplier and 166FSB. I believe it's meant to be run at 12.5 (max multiplier on it) by 133FSB... but that's too slow for my gaming purposes.

It's usually fairly stable, but I've run into a few problems lately, namely my HD corrupting. In the past, it hasn't been a problem, but in the last three days, I lost my user profile, and now my registry is apparently corrupt. It's been occasionally rebooting, but far and wide apart.

The Shuttle is rated to run at the 166FSB, but the CPU is not. Would this have an adverse effect on my HD, or is the HD just starting to die iteself (80GB... few years old now).

Thanks
