Opinions ond SK43G? Buddy of mine is thinking of getting that and a Athlon XP 2700 proc. 512 RAM, 80 GB HD, and so forth. Anybody heard things about this shuttle good or bad? Thanks.

Its a decent system, but i've built two of the SK41G2V2 systems and I like them better for the following reasons.

1. 250watt PSU vs 200 on the 43G. More power for higher and components and quieter
2. nForce 2 chipset. Nuff said, not impressed with Via personally
3. Higher DDR speeds. The 41G2 will do DDR400 while the 43G will only do DDR333.
4. The 41G2 will do Dual channel memory while the 43G will only do single channel

The only thing you gain in the 43g is SATA while the 41G only has IDE.
 
My buddy will only be doing the internet and some works type stuff quicken and word programs. He's not into games or anything like that but I'm still gonna give him an old Vid card of mine, BFG 5200 Ultra 128mb. Enough power to handle that little card I'd hope.
