I recently rebuilt with a Gigabyte DS3L and installed vista 32bit on a reformatted 200gb ide drive. I put a lot of files on my second SATA 250gb drive so that I could copy back the files after the format. I reinstalled the SATA drive, and it shows up in the device manager, in the BIOS, and in the Seagate diagnostic utility but does not show up in the disk management or under HDDs in "my computer". What do I need to do?

I was just about to post somthing similar. I am having the SAME exact problem. I have a WD120 drive, 2 80gig barracudas in RAID 0 and a 320 barracuda. The WD drive has all my pictures, music, movies and software on it but it will not show up in My Computer, it does under disk management, etc. refer to topic. Please help us!

Just to clarify, it isn't showing up in the Disk Management section of the MMC at all?

another person just had this problem with vista and you need to change a HD setting/mode in BIOS i forget what it was

If it shows up in Disk management, you may just have to assign it a drive letter.
