Hey all, I'm new to posting on this forum but have been lurking for awhile.

I decided, due to this board to go from a Zalman Reserator to a Swiftech watercooling system.

Basically my question is, my case has a spot for the 120mm fan in the rear for the watercooling system. I also have a side mount 80mm fan near the top. Should I be using this fan to intake air or exhaust air?

Currently I have a 120mm intake in the front, Zalman 400-watt quiet PSU blowing out hot air, and will have the watercooling setup.

Does the watercooling setup fan essentially exhaust as well? I have all this intake but really no way to get the air out unless the 120mm fan on the Swiftech acts as an exhaust fan too..

I have an Aerocool Jetmaster SS that I bought over a year ago. It has a 120mm fan slot in the rear that I checked last night.

I've also replaced all the fans with SilenX models instead of the garbage Aerocool neon fans.

Oh also, just reading on the Swiftech site. They say if you're rear mounting the rad/fan (intake) that any front fans should be set to exhaust mode. Should this be done or should I keep the front fan to intake as well?

if you are rearmounting the radiator and using it as an intake then yes. If you are rear mounting the radiator and using it as an outtake then no.

You want all your fans blowing from front to back or back to front. And you want fans on the top to be outtake, and fans on the side to be intake (in general).

I guess I'll switch around the front fan to be an exhaust fan then. I don't want the rad to be pulling in warm air from within the case. Thanks!
